About Jack Quinn
Recently retired from a large St. Louis firm where he was a lead trial lawyer on a wide variety of cases for more than forty years, Jack has joined Sher Corwin Winters LLC as Of Counsel. His significant trial experience has included personal injury cases, toxic torts, FELA, intellectual property, business and commercial litigation, non-compete litigation, employment law, along with a general civil practice. Although many of his cases were on the defense side, he was in charge of or had a significant role in a number of major plaintiff cases while at Armstrong Teasdale, including a reverse confusion case against the NBA over the trademark Dream Team, a nuisance case on behalf of farmers impacted by large hog farms in northwest Missouri, a breach of contract case for royalties owed with punitive damages (largest punitive damage award in ED of Mo. as of 1982), aviation accident cases against Beech Aircraft, and he recently obtained a verdict in an appointed class action case on behalf of civilly committed men in Missouri.
Jack’s experiences in these cases, and many others that were settled in mediation, has given him a unique, first-hand experience of the values of settlement and the pitfalls to both sides during hard-fought litigation. Jack also understands the role a mediator plays in assisting trial counsel for the respective parties to both advocate but also work toward reasonable settlements. Candor, objectivity, and flexibility are key factors Jack brings to the mediation table, as well as to his litigation work and counseling.
